Fantasy

This genre often has alternant worlds, elves, and talking animals. Subgenres include High Fantasy, which is entirely set in another world, Low Fantasy, which is magic in our world, Fairytale, which is elf-explanatory, Medieval, which doesn't necessarily have magic, and Gaslamp, which is set in a Victorian-ish time.
