Summary: In the days of Peleg, after the Tower of Bable, the behemoth still walked the earth...and people either worshiped the One True God, or their own vain imaginings.
Notes: This book reads like a fantasy novel, but it is technically historical fiction. Like I said before, it's set during the time of Peleg. Take notice: this is NOT Biblical Fiction. This is Historical Fiction set during Bible times. Depending on your theological standpoint, you may or may not agree with everything in this book. The author, Matthew Christian Harding, presents Noah's Flood as fact, along with the Tower of Bable, six-day creation, the book of Job, Nephilim being the offspring of humans and demons (sorry if that is disturbing...), dinosaurs living with humans, ancient man being smart from the start, and so on. Instead of dragons, there are dinosaurs. If you ask me, that is where all the legends of dragons came from. If you liked "The Lake Lights" you will probably like this book.
Age of Main Characters: Two are little kids, a couple are young adults...but remember that people lived a lot longer back then.
Violence: General melee, arena fights, characters presumed dead, hiding from the creepy Dragon Priest, avoiding getting eaten by various carnivores, but not gruesome. If you have a sensitive reader, do pre-read.
Romance: Some, but not mushy
Scary Themes: A creepy dragon-worshiping cult with witches. Witchcraft is explained to be evil. "Ogres" who are the offspring of demons and humans, and the afore-said violence. And someone has a split personality. Again, if you have a sensitive reader, do pre-read.
Genre: Historical Fiction that feels like Fantasy
