Summary: The dragons promised to come to the aid of the kingdom of Aom-igh. Now is the time to fulfill the promise...but the dragonsdo not know that. They must be found.

Notes: I had expected a lighter story...but this book belongs next to the Illyon Chronicles. Epic adventure, horrible tragedy, and awesome dragons. The author, Jenelle Leanne Schmidt, is a Tolkien fan, and it comes out well in her writing. No, there are no hobbits...but there is a mysterious warrior who can track anything, anywhere. There are dragons that can shape-shift into people, wizards, gryphons, and Pegasi. The main character, Kamarie, is an exceptional princess of exceptional parents. She can out-ride many of the squires, her mother has studied history extensively, and her father is a king who never got out of touch with the world outside his castle. Did I mention that her maid knows everything?

Age of Main Character: Almost old enough to get married

Violence: Soldiers destroy entire villages, including SPOILER!!! one of the supporting character's entire family. That character watches his daughter die. The characters are in deadly peril multiple times. So, lots...but not gory.

Romance: Some.

Scary Themes: Mostly the threat of war...and the enemy soldiers that are destroying the countryside. There is also a large battle that the characters don't know if they can win.

Genre: High Fantasy
